Easy Turkey Tacos

These turkey tacos are one of those dinners I make when I want something easy that everyone will actually eat. The ground turkey gets cooked with onion, green chiles, plenty of seasoning, and a squeeze of fresh lime, then piled into warm corn tortillas with cilantro, white onion, cotija, and sour cream. They’re simple, quick, and so good for a weeknight dinner.

Method

  1. 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for about 3–4 minutes, until it begins to soften. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart as it browns.

  2. 2

Season with the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Stir in the diced green chiles and continue cooking until the turkey is completely cooked through.

  3. 3

Squeeze in the fresh lime juice, stir everything together and taste for salt.

  4. 4

Warm the corn tortillas and fill with the turkey mixture.

  5. 5

Top with white onion, cilantro, Cotija, sour cream and an extra squeeze of lime, or whatever taco toppings you like.
