Fridge cleanout loaded pizza bake

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4–6 hamburger buns (torn into chunks (stale is fine))
  • 1–2 cups cooked pork (or chicken, or whatever you have)
  • 1/2 zucchini (diced)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 1/2 red onion (diced)
  • 2 tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 2–3 eggs
  • Splash milk
  • mozzarella (cheese variety used (or substitute))
  • parmesan
  • gruyère

Sauce

  • 2–3 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½–¾ cup water or broth
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • Italian seasoning or dried basil/oregano

Method

    Prep the bread Tear your buns into chunks. If they’re fresh, toast them in the oven for a few minutes so they don’t get soggy.

    Cook the filling In a pan cook veggies until soft, cook meat if needed

    Make the sauce In a bowl, mix tomato paste + water or broth + seasoning, it should be loose like pizza sauce, not thick.

    Assemble In a greased baking dish Layer the torn bread Add the meat + veggie mixture Pour sauce over everything Pour over egg + milk mixture Top with cheese blend

    Bake 375°F for 25–35 minutes, until golden, bubbly, and set in the center Let it sit for 10 minutes before cutting
